About my lessons

Hi! I’m Yanina, an English tutor with a background in philology and experience teaching both children and adults in a language school and an educational academy. I’m passionate about literature and language, and I love passing that enthusiasm on to my students.

My approach

I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes. My lessons are built around a supportive, encouraging atmosphere where you can speak freely, without fear of being judged. I adapt my methods to your age, level and goals, so no two lesson plans are the same. I also celebrate small wins along the way, because confidence is often what unlocks real progress.

What we’ll work on

Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, practised through conversation rather than memorisation
Spelling and writing skills
Reading sessions with books and texts, a great way to build vocabulary and a love of language
Homework support and help with school or university curriculum requirements

Who I teach

I work with both kids and adults, and I adjust my style to each group. Lessons with children are playful and interactive, while lessons with adults are practical and focused on your goals, whether that’s work, study, travel or everyday conversation.

Lesson format

Lessons are available one-to-one or in small groups, and online. Each session follows a clear plan tailored to your needs, with a mix of speaking, reading and practice exercises. I regularly track your progress and adjust the plan so you always have a clear sense of where you’re heading.

My experience and education

Teaching experience

English teacher, "Raccoon School," Warsaw, Poland ( ) (language school), 1 year: I taught English to both adults and children, planning lessons around each student’s level and goals.
English tutor, Academy of Intellectual Development "Smartum," Bucha, Ukraine ( ): I taught students of different ages in both individual and group settings, prepared lesson plans in line with curriculum requirements, and supported learners who were struggling with difficult topics.

Education

Master’s degree (2025-present): University of Warsaw, Institute of English Studies, Literature and Culture
Bachelor of Philology ( ): Kyiv National Linguistic University, Faculty of Germanic Philology and Translation. I specialised in English language and literature, with German as a second foreign language and translation.
