Timothy Evans

Hi! I'm Tim, a TEFL-certified native English teacher from the United States with years of experience teaching children and adults both online and in the classroom.

I currently teach at a private international preschool in Prague and also work with private English students online. I've taught learners from different countries, age groups, and English levels, so I understand that every student has different goals and learns differently.

My lessons are practical, friendly, and personalized. I want you to actually use English, not spend an hour silently completing exercises from a textbook.

For adults and teenagers, I can help with conversational English, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, confidence, English for travel, and practical everyday communication. We can also build lessons around your interests and specific goals.

For children, I use games, stories, conversation, pictures, and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging. My classroom experience has taught me that children learn much more effectively when they're actively participating and enjoying themselves.

I'm also happy to work with students who already understand English grammar but struggle to speak naturally or confidently. Making mistakes is part of learning, and my classroom is a comfortable place to practice.

Outside teaching, I'm interested in martial arts, fitness, cooking, gardening, music, and gaming, so we will rarely run out of things to discuss!
