I've been teaching English for over 5 years now, working with students of every age — young kids just starting out, teenagers, and adults preparing for exams like IELTS. My approach is student-centered rather than one-size-fits-all: I build each lesson around what the person in front of me actually needs, whether that's exam technique, everyday conversation, or just building confidence to speak without freezing up.

In practice, that means mixing things up depending on who I'm teaching. With younger students I lean on games, flashcards, and Total Physical Response to keep things active and fun. With teens and adults, I focus on getting them talking as much as possible — real conversation practice, not just grammar drills — using storytelling, music, and visual aids to make the language stick. For exam prep, I work through mock tests and give detailed feedback on specific weak spots rather than generic advice.

I check in regularly with quick assessments so both of us can see what's actually improving, and I adjust the plan as we go instead of following a fixed course from start to finish. Lessons work either online or in person, and I'm comfortable teaching in English throughout to keep students immersed in the language.
