Hello, my name is Maria, and I am a professional English tutor with over 13 years of teaching experience.
I studied at Kiev National Linguistic University, where I built a strong academic foundation in linguistics and language teaching. A significant part of my professional and personal development took place in the United States, where I lived for two and a half years. During that time, I completed a private English language program and fully immersed myself in an authentic English-speaking environment. This experience allowed me not only to master the language, but to truly understand how it functions in real-life communication.
Over the past thirteen years, I have worked with both children and adults, including business professionals. My teaching approach is based on internationally recognized methodologies such as Communicative Language Teaching, elements of the Direct Method, Task-Based Learning, and language immersion techniques.
However, I strongly believe that methodology is only effective when it is adapted to the individual learner. That is why I design each learning program personally — taking into account the student’s goals, pace, strengths, and professional needs.
With children, I apply engaging, interactive and neuro-educational techniques that help them absorb the language naturally and confidently. With adults and business clients, I focus on practical communication, fluency, precision, and the ability to operate comfortably in professional English-speaking environments.
My priority is not just teaching grammar or vocabulary. My goal is to help my students develop confidence, overcome the language barrier, and speak English freely and naturally. I place special emphasis on speaking practice, structured progression, and measurable results.
