Jesse-Lee

Hello! I’m Jesse-Lee, a qualified English teacher with over 15 years of classroom teaching experience and 4 years of online teaching experience. I am passionate about helping learners become confident English speakers and enjoy creating lessons where students feel comfortable, encouraged and motivated to learn.

I hold a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Social Work, both achieved cum laude, as well as a Diploma in Grade R Teaching, a Diploma in Basic Adult Education, an Autism certificate and a 150-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate. My experience has taught me that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit your individual level, personality, learning style and goals.

My classes are interactive, practical and student-centred. Depending on your needs, we can focus on conversational English, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening or improving your overall fluency. I use real-life situations, discussions, questions, role-plays, reading activities and practical exercises to help you use English naturally and confidently.

I believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so my classroom is a judgement-free space where you can practise without feeling nervous or embarrassed. I will patiently guide you, correct mistakes in a supportive way and celebrate your progress.
