Jay Ann Lugatic

I am an experienced English teacher with international teaching experience in Vietnam and Uzbekistan, where I have gained valuable knowledge in working with diverse learners and multicultural environments. My teaching journey has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons according to students’ needs, learning styles, and language abilities. In Vietnam, I developed my skills in teaching English as a foreign language by creating engaging lessons that encouraged students to improve their communication skills, confidence, and overall language proficiency.

In Uzbekistan, I worked as an English teacher in a public school, teaching students from Grades 8 to 11. I supported learners in preparing for speaking examinations, English competitions, and academic activities. I also conducted master classes for local English teachers, sharing effective teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, and approaches to improving teaching practices.

My teaching characteristics include being patient, creative, adaptable, and student-centered. I believe that every learner has unique strengths, and I strive to create an inclusive and supportive classroom where students feel motivated to participate and express themselves.

My teaching methods focus on communicative language teaching, interactive activities, technology integration, and real-life language applications. I use discussions, presentations, collaborative tasks, and digital resources to make lessons engaging and meaningful. I also apply differentiated instruction to address different learning levels and provide opportunities for students to develop critical thinking, confidence, and independence. My goal is to inspire students to enjoy learning English and use the language effectively in real-world situations.
