My English classes are designed to be interactive, supportive, and tailored to each student's level and goals. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension, while also helping students gain confidence in speaking and expressing themselves clearly. I like to structure my lessons in a simple and effective way:
• Warm-up: short conversation or activity to get comfortable using English
• Core lesson: focused work on grammar, reading, or writing skills
• Practice: exercises, past paper questions, or real-life scenarios
• Wrap-up: review and feedback with tips for improvement.
Since I achieved A* in English Language and Literature IGCSE and continued with A-Level English, I understand what examiners look for and can help students improve their writing, analysis, and exam techniques. Although I did not formally teach English before, I have strong experience working with children and students. As a school prefect, I mentored younger students, and as a junior sports teacher, I trained children in hockey, which taught me patience, communication, and how to keep lessons engaging. In my current dental studies, I also work closely with children in a clinical setting, so I am comfortable adapting to different personalities and learning styles.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and improving step by step.
